Today was Gabriella's One Year check-up. Dr. Beebe said that she is looking great. He said that her motor skills are advanced and he was amazed at how social she was. She is now 29.25 inches and just over 19 lbs. She is definitely petite for her age but her weight is probably due to the fact that she never stops working. I think that she eats more than most adults :)
We also got her ears pierced while we were there. Beau wasn't too happy about it, but I think that it is better to get it over with. Plus now she can wear the pretty diamond earrings that Grandma Pam and Grandpa Tom bought her for Christmas. She was a champ though. She let the nurse mark her ears and then sat still for the first ear. Of course she cried (louder than I have ever heard before), but she sat quite still for the second ear. There was only a few minutes of crying and then it was over.
