A Little Happy Place

This past weekend we had the pleasure of taking a little trip to Perry, Georgia to visit with an old friend of Beau's and his family. So both families loaded up and headed to Robert's mom's house. It was really nice of Miss Sherri to let us all stay. It had been about 5 years since we had seen each other and we've each had children since. The girls got along great. Lily, Robert's daughter, is 4 and played so nicely with Gabriella.

On Saturday Beau took us all out to Highpoints Farm. This is where he lived for 5 or 6 six years. Beau and Robert were excited to take us out there and show us around and to spend some time with Bruce. It was really generous of Bruce, Beau's ex-stepfather, to allow us to use all the "toys" and show the girls a really fun time. Needless to say the girls had a blast. After this weekend I think that Gabriella is ready for farm and country living.

We started out with a quick drive around the farm. Lindsey and I drove the girls in the golf cart and followed the guys in the truck. Gabriella and Lily got real close to some cows that thought we were out there to feed them. Then the girls jumped around on some hay bales. After that Beau drove each girl around in one of the tractors.

Next was a four wheeler ride around the farm to show us the different spots were Beau and Robert have many memories. We rode all over the place and I think that the four wheeler ride may have been Gabriella's favorite part. Or maybe playing with Mishka the German Shepard. It's hard to tell :)

As the day passed the guys sat on the front porch, enjoyed the beautiful cool weather, and caught up with Bruce while Lindsey and I watched the girls run around and play on the trampoline. It was a fabulous day that we look forward to repeating again soon.

They spent about 30 minutes running up and down the bales

The girls were squealing to loud with excitement

At one point Gabriella slipped between some bales and thought it was so funny that she kept trying to do again

With just 7 weeks left in my pregnancy I don't think that my doctor would approve of a four wheeling ride. Oh Well

Beau forgot that he had written this, "Beau was here." Walking through the tractor shed he happened across it.

Jumping around on the old trampoline

The next morning the girls rode around on bikes while we packed up the cars to head back home. We will definitely plan another trip up there soon. It was nice seeing old friends and just "spending some time."
