Love My Girls

The other day Gabriella and Lilliana had their first real bath together. So the chair, in the photos, is not meant to be put in the bath, but we did it anyways. We learned pretty quickly why it's not for the bath when it started floating because it had a bunch of air caught under it. Oh well!!!

The girls had a blast. Gabriella and Lilliana played and splashed around. I think that Lilliana's face, in the pictures, tells it all!!!

First Day of School

August 22, 2012: Gabriella is officially a preschooler!!! She absolutely loved her first day of school. When I picked her up she was so pumped that it took a few hours for her to finally calm down!

Funniest Story From the First Week:

Me: "So what did you do at school today?"

Gabriella: "Well, my friend wouldn't share the broom with me."

Me: "Sometimes you have to take turns, share, and wait your turn."

Gabriella: "Well, I just put on a mask and scared my friend, and she ran off and left the broom. So I picked it up and played with it."

I sure hope that she's making friends :)

Super excited for her First Day of School!!!

Getting ready to walk into school
Just before we walked into her classroom

This is me and Beau peeping through the window to make sure that she was OK. She never looked back :)

Today: September 4, 2012

Tonight was Parent Teacher night. Her teachers Ms. Star and Ms. Pendley say that she is a natural leader, which I read in between the lines to mean "bossy." They assure us that this is not what they mean. They also say that she is the most polite child, in the class, and that they have had in a long while. They say that she always asks with "please may I" and always says thank you. Glad to hear that everything that we have been working on is paying off.

School has been great for all of us. It gets us up in the morning and has really provided us with the structure that we have been craving. Lilliana and I are able to get in some one-on-one time and Gabriella is gaining independence.

We are really in love with her school, Gainesville Country Day School, and her teachers. I think that we made the right choice with them and we are all looking forward to the rest of the year!!!
