First Steps

Gabriella has started walking!!! Her first steps were Friday at Grammy's house. She was so proud of herself that she clapped after she was done. It was so amazing to see her go.

Since Friday it has just been a few steps then back to crawling. Today she has tried walking everywhere. Now I know for sure that we are never going to be able to get her to stop moving.

My days of any sort of rest are over :)

Update

Time has gone by so fast. It seems like only yesterday we were bringing Gabriella home from the hospital. It's hard to imagine that she is already 11 months old and we are getting ready to celebrate her first birthday. Each day is a new and exciting experience and we are so lucky to get to witness all of it.

It should only be a few weeks and Gabriella will be walking. I can see her thinking about it when she is trying to go from one side of the living room to the other or when we are outside and she sees all the kids on our street out playing together. She heads right for them as fast as she can. It won't be long before she is running right over to be in the mix.

She finally has some teeth. Three to be exact (all on the bottom). It seems that they have taken forever to finally push through.

She says a few words really well...like mama, dada, and yum-yum. Oh, she calls her blankie ying-ying. She doesn't like to go anywhere without it. In fact today I put it in the washing machine and she kept reaching in and pulling it back out. She cried when I closed the door.

She is starting to imitate a lot more of the things that we do. She likes to take my scarves and wrap them around her like a shawl. Or, I gave her a make-up brush to play with and she took it and swiped it across her face as if she was putting blush on.

I cannot believe that she is getting so big. I am looking forward to all the new milestones that are to come.
Outside enjoying the beautiful weather and trying to clear up some diaper rash.

She likes to keep Cheerios in the front flap.

Never Before

Today we reached a new milestone. I left Gabriella with Beau while I took Mikey and Gheri to the groomers. She was a little cranky when I left and Beau had some work to do so he put her in her bouncer and turned on her favorite episode of Sesame Street. About 30 minuted later Beau realized that he had not heard a peep in a little while. When he looked over at her she was passed out. When her favorite song came on she started jumping, but with her eyes half open. Then she bent over and fell right back to sleep.
