Scary Monster

DISCLAIMER: WE HAVE NO IDEA WHERE GABRIELLA LEARNED ANY OF THIS. 

So at least once a week we meet our friend Greg for ice cream and then head over to Fresh Market for some free coffee. A few nights ago we got all bundled up and headed out. After getting some ice cream we walked over to Fresh Market. I grabbed a few things that I needed headed over to the check out line.

Beau and I look over and cannot believe what we see. Gabriella is walking back and forth as if she were "handicap." She was walking with her tongue hanging out the side, holding her right hand at her chest with the wrist bent, and dragging her left leg behind her. It was impossible not to laugh, but embarrassing at the same time(she did it for almost 5 minutes). I kept wondering if she had seen someone, in the store, walking around like that. At least 10 people stopped to look at what she was doing, including a nice old lady that stopped and said hello and Gabriella just grunted at her.

She also incorporated a limp into the walk while she drug her leg behind her

It wasn't until after we left that we were finally able to get her to speak. She apparently had been acting like a monster. The photos don't do it any justice, but we wanted to share anyways.

This type of behavior does run in the family though. When Denise was 12 she would walk about 10-15 feet behind Marie and Dawn when they were out. She would walk in just about the same manner, but reach out for Maria and Dawn, and call out "Mom," in a desperate manner, while reaching out an arm toward them. Marie and Dawn can remember getting dirty looks from people as they were walking. They would look back at Denise and she would be fine.

It seems though that we have our hands full.
